Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy a half syringe

I don’t offer half syringes . However, we can split the syringe to address other areas of concern or we can split the syringe into 2 appointments, two weeks after the first.

Do I have to get the same filler I used last time

No. We can layer new filler over existing filler. However, I do examine the existing filler to make sure it has not migrated or is in need of removing it by injecting hyaluronidase (an enzyme that breaks down the existing filler).

What is a Lip Flip

A Lip Flip is a quick, non-invasive Botox treatment that subtly enhances the shape and fullness of your lips by relaxing the muscles around the upper lip. It creates a naturally fuller appearance without adding volume, offering a refined, yet noticeable, boost to your smile for a more defined and youthful look

What can I do for the dark circles or bags under my eyes

Some patients could be candidates for filler to reduce the appearance of dark circles, however, an in-person examination is required to see if filler would address the concern. Another option is Microneedling or Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments can stimulate collagen and improve skin texture under the eyes.

Do toxins help control sweating or oily skin

Yes, Botox and similar neurotoxins can help control excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and reduce oily skin by temporarily blocking the nerves that stimulate sweat and oil production. These treatments target specific areas like the underarms, forehead, and scalp to provide a noticeable reduction in sweat and oil, improving overall skin condition

What do I do if I want to get rid of old filler?

To get rid of old filler, you can have it dissolved by using hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid-based fillers quickly and safely. If your filler is not hyaluronic acid-based, you may need to wait for it to naturally metabolize over time.

What is the recovery time after treatment

Recovery after treatment is typically minimal, with most patients experiencing mild swelling or redness that subsides within a few hours to a couple of days. You can usually return to your normal activities immediately, but it’s recommended to avoid intense exercise, alcohol, and direct sun exposure for 24 hours.

What should I do to prepare for my appointment

To prepare for your appointment, avoid blood thinners like aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain supplements for a few days to minimize bruising, and refrain from alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. Consider taking Arnica or Zyrtec beforehand to help reduce bruising and limit swelling.

What is the difference between Botox and fillers

Filler adds volume and contours to areas like the lips, cheeks, and under-eye hollows by using hyaluronic acid or other substances, while Botox, or toxins, smooths out wrinkles by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause them.

How soon do I see results and how long do results last?

With fillers, you’ll see results immediately after the treatment, though full effects may become more apparent as any initial swelling subsides within a few days. For Botox and other toxins, results typically start to appear within 3-7 days, with full effects visible around 10-14 days after the treatment.

Is it safe to get injections while pregnant or breastfeeding?

To ensure the safety of both Mom and baby, I do not administer treatments to moms that are pregnant or breastfeeding
